This dictionary gathers 1,339 terms related to traffic, users, vehicles, roads, road safety, and environmental impact. It presents the designations and definitions in Catalan and the equivalents in Spanish, French, and English. In addition, it also includes the synonymy relations between terms and, where necessary, conceptual or linguistic notes that complete the information in the entries.

This is the online version of the Diccionari de trànsit (‘Traffic Dictionary’), published jointly with Enciclopèdia Catalana in the year 2000, by initiative of the Catalan Traffic Service and elaborated by TERMCAT in close collaboration with experts from this service of the Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as from other institutions.

Clicking on "Consulta de termes" (‘Term search’), terms can be looked up in three ways: using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language) or making simple or advanced searches in the upper space "Text de la consulta" (‘Text search’) in any of the dictionary languages.
