The Diccionari de jocs de taula i jocs de rol (‘Dictionary of Table Games and Role-Playing Games’) is a collection of 116 terms related to table games and role-playing games.
The aim of the dictionary is to promote the use of Catalan through terminology related to the world of games and within the framework of Totjoc, a program that encourages games and toys in Catalan. It is based on the terms developed by the CNL of Tarragona, the Associació Lúdica i Cultural Club Diògenes of Tarragona, TGN Juga and the expert Oriol Comas i Coma in the vocabularies of table games and role-playing games presented at the Festival TGN Juga 2024.
This dictionary is an open product that can be expanded with new proposals submitted by experts or individuals interested in this field. If you would like to send us a suggestion, you can do so via the email address informacio@termcat.cat.
Every entry contains the main designation in Catalan and Catalan synonyms, if applicable; equivalents in Spanish and English; a definition and, often, explanatory notes that provide more information about the term.
Clicking on "Consulta de termes" ('Term search'), terms can be looked up in two different ways: using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language) or doing advanced searches in the upper space "Text de la consulta" ('Text search') in any of the dictionary languages.
