Diccionari de formatges - Presentación

The Diccionari de formatges (‘Dictionary of Cheeses’) that we present makes available to users 208 terms belonging to the world of cheese, including names of cheeses from around the world, names of cheeses from the Catalan Countries, names of cheese types and terms related to the production and consumption of cheese. The dictionary has been made in collaboration with the Catalan Association of Farmers and Artisan Cheesemakers. Its thematic scope can be consulted in the document Concept diagram.
Every term includes its designations in Catalan, definition, equivalents mainly in Spanish, French, and English, and, if deemed necessary, additional notes.
Clicking on "Consulta de termes" (‘Term search’), terms can be looked up using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language), or making simple or advanced searches in the upper space "Text de la consulta" (‘Text search’) in any of the dictionary languages.
